The Atlanta Falcons fly on the board with a bonehead move

Well it appears that the players are finally getting out there and getting arrested. There were 2 more confirmed arrests last week- including another one for FA Ray McDonald- No points for Chicago as he was dropped from the Bears roster. Here we go.

Former Atlanta Falcons LB Prince Shembo
-Aggravated Cruelty to Animal (Felony)

Mr. Shembo was charged on Friday, May 29 following an incident in April 2015 where he allegedly kicked and killed the dog of his former girlfriend. In April, she left her yorkie, Dior and Mr. Shembo in her residence and upon returning, found Dior, to be unresponsive. Dior was taken to the animal hospital, but unfortunately did not survive the extensive injuries. Police said the dog had a fractured rib, fractured liver, abdominal hemorrhage, thoracic hemorrhage, extensive bruising and hemorrhage in the muscles of her front leg and shoulders, head trauma, hemorrhage and edema in its lungs, hemorrhage between the esophagus and trachea, and hemorrhage in the left eye with internal injuries.

Mr. Shembo maintains that he did not mean to kill the dog and that he has a dog too and would never hurt it. On the same day, he posted $15 K bond and was released at 10 pm , earlier that day, he was also released from the Atlanta Falcons. 4 points for the felony- Aggravated Cruelty to Animals. 1 bonus point because a former, you know, an Atlanta Falcons player allegedly killed a dog here. 5 points total to Atlanta. I wonder if the Falcons organization was aware of the investigation beforehand, they may have heard it through the grapevine (or their dome’s loudspeakers).

Well, it seems like things are starting to get going this off-season. The Detroit Lions are still leading with 11 points. The Green Bay Packers remain in 2nd place with 10 points. The Baltimore Ravens hold steady at 3rd place with 9 points. The Chicago Bears are in 4th place with 7 points. The Indianapolis Colts are in 5th place with 6 points. The Atlanta Falcons fly onto the board in 6th place with 5 points. The San Francisco 49ers are in 7th place with 4 points. The Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals are tied for 9th place with 3 points apiece. 10th place belongs to the New Orleans Saints with 2 points and the Pittsburgh Steelers round out 11th place with 1 point. The other 21 NFL teams do not have an arrest/criminal charges at this time.
