Texans on the board, Packers back to 1st place!

The Fantasy Crime League hopes everyone had a great and safe 4th of July while  celebrating America. Hopefully no one’s hands got injured like JPP (who had a U-Haul full of fireworks) . There have been 2 NFL arrests since the last update, we had no confirmed arrest during the month of June.

Houston Texans DT Brandon Ivory
2 Counts 1st Degree Burglary (Felony)

Mr. Ivory was arrested July 1 after him and another suspect allegedly took a door down and stole electronics and cash from a house in Tuscaloosa. The pair were reported to be armed with an assault rife and a knife. Mr. Ivory is an undrafted rookie,  maybe he needed an advance to get an iPad,  so he took matters into his own hands. He is still on the Houston Texans as of now, while they are gathering the facts. Also his agent says he will be cleared of all charges. The Texans have not had an arrest in 6 years. 2 felonies and a bonus point for being armed,  giving 9 points total to the Houston Texans.

Green Bay Packers TE Andrew Quarless
Discharging a firearm in public (Misdemeanor)

Mr. Quarless was arrested on July 4th in Miami after a altercation with a group of women outside of a parking garage where he allegedly fired a handgun into the air 2x. He fled the scene and tried to hide both the gun and himself in/ behind a potted plant. Not surprisingly, both were found and the gun was matched to the rounds found at the scene. Discharging a firearm in public is only a misdemeanor in Florida. That is 3 points for the misdemeanor gun charge plus a bonus point for the hiding behind a plant part. (thanks Deadspin) The Green Bay Packers are the fantasy crime league surprise of the year hands down, if only we’d known what the NFC championship meltdown would bring for them this off season.

Well, the Green Bay Packers jump back into 1st place, while the Detroit Lions fall to 2nd place, the Houston Texans get on the board in 3rd place as they hold the tiebreaker over the Baltimore Ravens in 4th place.  5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th place belongs to the Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons & San Francisco 49ers respectively. 10th place belongs to both the  Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals while the New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers round out 11th and 12th place respectively.

The NFC North, leads all divisions overwhelmingly with 32 points! Also interestingly enough, the AFC West and East do not have an arrest at this time. Well we are getting into the home stretch for the off-season as training camps are just around the corner later this month.  Be sure to get all your Fantasy Crime League news here!
