Missed April Arrests- 49ers/Redskins/Cardinals/Seahawks

After doing some internal review, just realized that last month, the arrests of the San Francisco 49ers,Washington Redskins, Arizona Cardinals, and Seattle Seahawks were inadvertently left off during the month of April. We apologize for the error. Let’s review.

Seattle Seahawks QB Trevone Boykin
-Violation of Probation

Seahawks QB Trevone Boykin arrested on warrant for probation violation

From the last arrest where Mr. Boykin was a passenger in a car that hit a bar, his reputation he continues to mar. I saw this one coming from afar, he violated his probation- so he was arrested on a warrant.
This is a separate crime. One point for the violation which is one point total for the Seattle Seahawks.

Arizona Cardinals WR Marquis Bundy
disorderly conduct (misdemeanor)
failure to obey a police officer (misdemeanor)

https://arizonasports.com/story/1081134/cardinals-receiver-marquis-bundy-arrested-scottsdale/

Early Saturday morning April 1, Mr. Bundy was arrested by Scottsdale police after an incident at International Nightclub originating from his lost hat. He was involved in a scuffle and the officers asked him several times to calm down, after he did not, Mr. Bundy was arrested for disorderly conduct and failure to obey a police officer. He was booked and later released. The Cardinals are aware of the arrest and deferring to the NFL for the personal conduct policy. No word on if he recovered his hat. 1 point each for the misdemeanors, 2 points total for the cardinals.

Washington Redskins LB Junior Galette
-Disorderly conduct (misdemeanor)
-Failure to comply with police officer (misdemeanor)

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000799041/article/redskins-lb-junior-galette-arrested-in-biloxi-miss

On Friday night, April 7, Mr. Galette was arrested in Mississippi after he allegedly got into a fight outside a concert at MGM Park. Once police arrived, he ran after being told to stop, and was also tasered in the process. He was booked and released on disorderly conduct and failure to comply with police officer. The skins are aware of the arrest and have no further comment. 1 point a piece for the charges and taser bonus. 3 points for the Washington Redskins.

Now Former San Francisco 49ers CB Tramaine Brock
-Suspicion of Domestic Violence (Felony)

http://santaclaraca.gov/Home/Components/News/News/6161/95?backlist=%2fgovernment%2fdepartments%2fpolice-department
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/49ers-cut-starting-corner-after-hes-arrested-on-suspicion-of-domestic-violence/
http://www.espn.com/blog/san-francisco-49ers/post/_/id/24364/even-if-unintended-49ers-new-regime-sent-message-with-tramaine-brocks-swift-release

On Thursday April 6th, in the evening, Mr. Brock was arrested after authorities responded to a domestic violence call. The female victim, who he was in a relationship with, was found at the scene to have visible injuries. He was booked and later released on Friday morning, also the 49ers released Mr. Brock that afternoon as well. Now I have looked at several sources, can’t seem to find one that says definitively he was charged, the investigation is still on going. I have reached out to Santa Clara PD on twitter to confirm, but have not heard anything. So for now, 1 arrest point, and 1 bonus point for the boot within the 24 hour time frame. Although he has been released, if he does get charged, it will be as a 49er since he was on the roster at the time of the alleged incident.
Yes, this is being treated differently than the Greene indictment, but only because the legal process (arrest) began with him being a 49er and it was during the off-season.

We have been searching through news outlets (not FAKE NEWS) for updates that states he was charged, if he is, then the points will go through.
http://www.scscourt.org/court_divisions/criminal/index_search.asp I can’t find his case on the Santa Clara County Criminal Index, but not sure how often they update it.

Jets remain in 1st place with 21 points. The Colts are 2nd place with 16 points. The Ravens are in 3rd place with 12 points. The Seahawks jump to 4th place with 6 points. Da Bears are in 5th place with 5 points. The Panthers are in 6th place with 3 points, have the arrest tier tiebreaker over the Packers and Redskins who are both in 8th place. In 9th place are the Chargers with 2 points, holding the tiebreaker over the Cardinals and 49ers, who are tied for 11th place. The Chiefs are in 12th place with also 2 points, as they are behind on the other tiebreaker ( less # of arrests). Lastly, rounding out the board in 13h place with 1 point is the Rams.
Hope you all may forgive this transgression. Take care everyone, please be sure to get your latest fantasy crime news right here!

NY Jets ascend to take sole possession of 1st Place. KC Chiefs get an indictment point.

Since the last update, there has been 1 arrest and 1 indictment that doesnt count unfortunately. Let’s get into it.

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson
-Obstruction of Justice (Misdemeanor Miami Ordinance)
-Resisting Arrest with Violence (Felony)

http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2017/05/cop_who_arrested_jets_robby_anderson_has_checkered.html

On Sunday May 7, Mr. Anderson was arrested at the Rolling Loud Music Festival for allegedly fighting with security after being asked to leave. The cop who arrested Mr. Anderson, has had previous run-ins with NFLers and been accused of using excessive force. Mr. Anderson was charged with Resisting arrest with violence and obstruction of a police officer.
4 points for the felony resisting, 1 point capped for obstruction as it is in the same realm. Despite being at the Rolling Loud Festival he was not found to have any molly or loud on him, so that’s a positive at least. 5 points for the J-E-T-E Jets jets jets.

Now Free Agent LB Khaseem Greene
-Unlawful Gun Possession

http://www.nj.com/union/index.ssf/2017/05/nfl_player_indicted_for_role_in_elizabeth_shooting.html#incart_2box_nj-homepage-featured

Okay, so a former KC Chiefs player – Khaseem Greene (Also a 2013 bears draft pick and Schiano man as well!) was indicted on unlawful gun possession on May 9th, stemming from a December 2016 NJ shooting, and he was released by the team after. However, Mr. Greene was initially charged with same offense on January 4th, 2017. So looking at the NJ Criminal Procedure website and speaking with the reporter who has read the court documentation, it seems that this is the same charge, but has made it’s way down the process further while he was on the Chiefs roster. I believe the indictment came down after the co-defendant testified that Mr. Greene did give him said gun. Also only felonious type offenses are indictable, and this is one of them. So he was charged in January as a Free Agent and before the FCL season, but the DA brought the case to a grand jury during the FCL season, as a KC Chief to further process the charge.

So unfortunately, I will not be awarding the full points, but rather just 1 indictment point, similar to an arrest that doesn’t result in a charge. I am not an attorney, but I have reached out to lawyers/legal experts and their recommendations were in line with this thinking.

http://www.newjersey-legal-guide.com/New-Jersey-Criminal-Procedure.html

Well the Jets are now in sole possession of 1st place with 21 points. The Colts fall to 2nd place with 16 points. The Ravens are in 3rd place with 12 points. The Seahawks are in 4th place with 5 points and hold the tiebreaker over the Bears in 5th place with also 5 points due to the higher arrest tier charge. Tied for 7th place are the Packers and Panthers each with 3 points. In 8th place are the Chargers with 2 points. The Chiefs are in 9th place with also 2 points. In 10th place, on the board with 1 point is the Rams. It is Memorial Day weekend coming up, which means honoring our fallen servicemen and women and it is the unofficial start of summer. There typically is some FCL action over the long weekend, so please take care everyone let’s leave the alleged criminal activity to the league.

Carolina Panthers get on the board with an assault citation in smashville.

Well, the NFL draft has come and gone, did you team pick up a future FCL all star? Much like NFL success, only time will tell. Not much activity in the FCL world, there has been 1 citation since the last update. I thought maybe 49ers GM John Lynch being investigated for ROBBERY of da bears, but it is not robbery if it was agreed to.

Carolina Panthers OL Michael Oher
-Assault(misdemeanor)

Last month, April 14, Mr. Oher was cited for assault after an incident involving an uber ride in Nashville where Mr. Oher allegedly knocked the uber driver to the ground and kicked him. He was later restrained by the other passengers. He has a notice to appear in court in Davidson County on May 8, today. The Panthers are aware of the arrest and had no further comment. This behavior seems to be out of character of Mr. Oher and the team was caught very off guard by the news, you might even say that they were blindsided by it. 3 points for the Carolina Panthers.

Well the Jets and Colts remain tied for 1st place with 16 points each on 1 arrest. The Ravens are in 3rd place with 12 points. SThe eahawks are in 4th place with 5 points and hold the tiebreaker over the Bears with also 5 points due to the higher arrest tier charge. Tied for 7th place are the Packers and Panthers with 3 points. In 8th place are the Chargers with 2 points. Tied for 10th place with 1 point each are the Rams and Chiefs. * Chiefs TE Demetrius Harris I believe still hasn’t been formally charged with felony marijuana possession, will keep an eye out.

Divisional Rivals, Now Partners in Alleged Crime- Bears and Packers, also Seahawks on the board.

Hope you are doing well. Spring is here, March Madness is over, baseball is back in session, and the masters is on this week. Soon it will be the NHL/NBA playoffs and then football will be back before you know it! There have been 3 arrests since the last update. Let’s get into them.

Green Bay CB Makinton Dorleant
Interference (Misdemeanor)

Chicago Bears CB Deiondre Hall
Interference (Misdemeanor)
Public Intoxication (Misdemeanor)
Disorderly Conduct (Misdemeanor)

http://www.packersnews.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2017/03/26/packers-cb-makinton-dorleant-arrested-iowa/99674744/

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/bears-cornerback-deiondre-hall-reportedly-tasered-arrested-outside-bar-in-iowa/

On 3/26 early Sunday Morning Mr. Hall and Dorleant were involved in an incident at the bar, Sharkey’s Fun House in Iowa, where bouncers refused them entry and then police were called. Mr Hall was intoxicated and caused a scene- the police had to tase him after he resisted arrest. Mr. Dorleant allegedly tried to grab Mr. Hall and pull him away from the officer, while the police instructed him to stay back. Both were booked and later released on bond. Hall was charged with Interference, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct, Bonus point for taser. 2 + 1+ 1 +1 = 5 points for da bears! Dorleant was charged with interference and bonus point for 1st I believe, divisionial rival arrests, if not first multiple team arrests. 2 +1 = 3 points for the Packers.
That’s right, the Bears beat the Packers where it really counts- the FCL scoreboard.

Seattle Seahawks QB Trevone Boykin
-Public intoxication (Misdemeanor)
-Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor)

http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local/crime/article/Police-Former-TCU-QB-Trevone-Boykin-found-with-11030364.php

Early Monday morning 3/27 at 2 am, Mr. Boykin was a passenger in a car that crashed
into a Dallas bar. Mr. Boykin’s friend, Shabrika Bailey, allegedly was intoxicated and backed into the bar, while trying to leave a parking garage. Several people were injured, they were pedestrians and bar patrons/workers. She was charged with 2 counts of intoxication assault. Mr. Boykin left the scene of the accident but police found his ID and debit card and Ms. Bailey called him to come back. Upon returning, Boykin spoke with police and he was intoxicated as well, also the police allegedly found a Gucci bag with 7 grams of marijuana. So he was charged with public intoxication and possession of marijuana. He was released from custody Monday afternoon. The Seahawks are aware of the arrest and are disappointed. 3 points for the drug possession, 1 point for public intox and 1 bonus point for the . 5 points for the Seattle Seahawks.

Well Jets and Colts are still tied for 1st place with 16 points each on 1 arrest. Ravens are in 3rd place with 12 points. Seahawks are in 4th place with 5 points and hold the tiebreaker over Bears with also 5 points due to the higher arrest tier charge. In 6th place are the Packers with 3 points. In 7th place are the Chargers with 2 points. Tied for 9th place with 1 point are the Rams and Chiefs. updates on their arrests are below. Be sure to get all your latest Fantasy Crime League news right here. Take Care

*Rams DE Ethan Westbrooks was not charged with his arrest related to domestic violence.

** Chiefs TE Demetrius Harris I believe still hasn’t been formally charged with felony marijuana possession- KC just signed another Tight End to a 1 year deal so maybe they are thinking he will be suspended for a little bit.

Indianapolis Colts drive their way to the top of the leaderboard.

Indianapolis Colts DL David Parry

Robbery (Felony)
Auto theft (Felony)
Criminal damage(Misdemeanor)
DUI (Misdemeanor)
Resisting Arrest w/Physical Force (Felony)

http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/scottsdale/2017/02/28/records-indianapolis-colts-player-david-parry-cursed-resisted-scottsdale-police-during-dui-arrest/98538876/

Looking at the arrest sheet- there’s two nearly identical charges for DUI bac .08 or more/ DUI impaired to slightest and criminal damage/ criminal damage vehicle so counting those as only one.

https://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/Assets/ScottsdaleAZ/Police/public-information/weekly-booking-log.PDF
parry

On 2/25 Saturday early morning, Mr. Parry was arrested by Scottsdale Police after an incident in which he allegedly stole a golf cart being used a taxi, after he hit the driver while trying to collect fares from other riders. The police were contacted for a hit and run call where a golf cart hit a gate. Police encountered Mr. Parry in a drunken state on a nearby sidewalk and tried to arrest him, but he laughed at them and called them gay slurs while physically resisting. It took two pairs of handcuffs to restrain him. He was charged with robbery, auto theft, resisting arrest with physical force, DUI, and criminal damage. He denied any altercation with the taxi driver and was released from custody later on his own recognizance. The Indianapolis Colts have not had any comment yet, but I’d imagine Jim Irsay would say “A golf cart DUI? I could do better.” So the point breakdown is as follows. Fore! points for the Auto Theft, 2 points capped for robbery, 4 points for the felonious resisting arrest, 3 points for the DUI, 2 points for criminal damage and 1 bonus point for the hilarity/ first ever FCL golf cart DUI. 16 points for the Indianapolis Colts.

One month into the off-season, the Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets are tied for 1st with 16 points each on 1 arrest, the Baltimore Ravens are not far behind with 14 points in 3rd place, rounding out the board is the Los Angeles Chargers are in 4th place with 2 points. The rest of the NFL is yet to score. Hope you all have a great week and be sure to get all the latest fantasy crime league updates right here!

Baltimore Ravens are on the board- felony drug charges in Miami

Well there has been an arrest since the last update- it belongs to the always in contention- Baltimore Ravens.

Baltimore Ravens S Matt Elam

-Possession of controlled substance (felony)
-Possession of marijuana > 20 grams (felony)
-Possession of cannabis with intent to sell or deliver (felony)
-Reckless Driving (misdemeanor)

Mr. Elam was arrested in Miami on 2/25 saturday night on 3 felony drug charges and reckless driving. Police pulled the car over after he was driving erratically. The vehicle had a strong odor of marijuana and upon searching it the police allegedly had found a Gucci bag with 126 grams of marijuana, 6 oxycodone pills, about $950 in cash, a rolex, and a necklace. Also one of the passengers allegedly had a concealed pistol on him without a license. The Ravens are aware of this arrest and they have commented that Mr. Elam is not part of the plan for next year’s team. so it’s 7 points for 1st felony possession of marijuana, 3 points for capped felony possession with intent to distribute. 1 point for 3rd felony of controlled substance. 2 points for reckless driving. In an earlier update, I counted terroristic threats with assaults, so I am lumping in all drug charges together and will do so in the future. Bonus point for the send off, now he wasn’t technically cut but the team but they did say he gone, so it will be counted as such. 7 +3 +1 +2 +1 = 14 points for the Baltimore Ravens.

Well the Jets still lead with 16 points, but the Ravens are right behind with 14 points and a higher arrest tier, rounding out the board is the Chargers. Well 3 weeks into the off-season and we have 3 arrests, will this trend continue or will arrests go down like have been trending for the last couple off-seasons. Stay tuned to the fantasy crime league for all the crime updates!

Jets take off to 1st place, LA Chargers on the board.

Hope you all are enjoying the President’s Day holiday today, whether you are off or working to make America great again. There has been 1 person who turned themselves in and 1 arrest to start off the season. Let’s get into them.

NY Jets CB Darrelle Revis

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/18708220/darrelle-revis-new-york-jets-turns-police

Early Sunday morning, 2/12- Mr. Revis had an altercation with 2 individuals after he was being filmed and followed by them on a cell phone. Well after Darelle tried to delete those videos in question, those 2 individuals were knocked out. 1 of them had an orbital fracture. Mr. Revis turned himelf into authorities on 2/17 friday night and he was later released on non monetary bond. 2 counts of aggravated assault, Conspiracy to commit aggravated assault (capped), terroristic threats (capped as assault), and felonious Robbery. Since he did allegedly beat up 2 people, the aggravated assaults will be counted as separate. The point break down is 4 for robbery, 4 for agg assault, 4 for the agg assault, 2 for conspiracy (capped for felony-half), 1 for terroristic threats (misdemeanor add on), and 1 bonus point for the double KO. Please do note that “terroristic” threats are not related to terrorism. 16 points for the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets Jets.

The 49ers go Back to Back! 2016 FCL Winner

After the one week run off, the 49ers have been crowned the Fantasy Crime League champions once again in 2016. San Francisco 49ers are in 1st place with 20 points, the Los Angeles Rams finish in 2nd with 11 points, the Atlanta Falcons are in 3rd place with 8 points. The Indianapolis Colts are in 4th place with 7 points. The Denver Broncos are in 5th place with 6 points. The Philadelphia Eagles are in 6th place with 5 points. The Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars are tied for 8th place with 4 points. The Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints, and Buffalo Bills finish tied for 11th place with 3 points. Carolina Panthers are in 12th place with 2 points and the Houston Texans are in 13th place with 1 point.

Looking at the NFL as a whole, arrests are down 33% (24 last year). Also crime points are  down 35% (119 last year).  Arrests were split 50/50 between the NFC and AFC. Only 1 division did not have any arrests and that is the  NFC North. The NFC West dominated with 1st/2nd place and 3/4 teams getting points. Well we hope you had fun tracking the crime activity with us this off-season.

Everybody can now enjoy the players on field achievements. We look forward to the next off-season, we will see you right back here- immediately following Super Bowl LI. Take care.

fcl-2016

Former SF TE Miller arrested for elder abuse, ATL DL Hageman arrested for domestic assault in March. 49ers & Falcons jump to 1st & 3rd.

Well the end of the FCL Season went off with a bang, with a last week arrest and a reported arrested during the 1 week run off. Hope you all enjoyed the week 1 NFL action.
Former San Francisco 49ers TE Bruce Miller

-Assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm (weapon alleged is a cane)  (Felony) section  245- 4- c

-2 counts of assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury – (Felony) section 245-a 4

-Inflicting injury on an elder or dependent adult likely to cause great bodily injury –( Felony)

-Battery with serious bodily injury – (felony) section 243 – d

-2 counts of criminal threats ( felony)

-Battery – (misdemeanor) section 243- a

Well folks, this is probably the arrest of the off-season and more details/charges have arisen since the initial story broke out on this one. Early Monday morning 9/5- Mr. Miller was trying to enter a hotel room that was not his, which was being stayed in by an elderly couple. After the couple’s son staying next door, told Mr. Miller he had the wrong room, Mr. Miller allegedly attacked the son and the father came to his aid. Reportedly a cane was used in the melee which sent both the father and son to the hospital. Mr. Miller was released by the 49ers after the arrest. Using an elderly man’s own cane against him as a weapon is pretty twisted.

Previous to this incident, Mr. Miller was seen at a sandwich shop getting into an altercation because he wanted their brisket sandwich. It must have been a good sandwich.
Now for the points breakdown. The capping rules are stated as follows.

Capping system-
Felonies: 1st felony gets full points. 2nd felony gets half of the points tier and each additional felony charge of a similar nature results in 1 point. (Note for heinous crimes like rape and murder, the capping system will be lifted)
Misdemeanor: 1st misdemeanor gets full points and each additional misdemeanor charge of a similar nature gets 1 point.

Criminal threats and assaults are going to be considered to be similar, all felonies too.

4 (full) points for assault with deadly weapon,  2 ( half ) for first criminal threats, 1 for the other criminal threat and 1 point each for assault with force likely to cause great injury. (9)

The Batteries are obviously similar, but I am keeping the son and old man charges separate, because he did beat up 2 people.

Elder abuse felony-  (full) 4 points, 1 felony count of battery with serious bodily injury (half) 2 points.  the son assault- 3 points for the misdemeanor.  1 bonus point for the send off and 1 additional bonus point for the last (presumed) arrest.

4+2+1+1+1 +4 +2+3 +1+1 = 20 points for the Santa Clara 49ers.

I did check and I gave the 49ers 2 bonus points at the end of the season last year for the final arrest with Ahmad Brooks.

Atlanta Falcons DL Ra’shede Hageman
Obstructing a person from making an emergency call (misdemeanor)
Assault on a family member (misdemeanor)
3rd degree Cruelty to Children (misdemeanor)
So earlier on March 24, Mr. Hageman-  was arrested and charged with 3 misdemeanors – Interference with a Call for Emergency Help, Battery Family Violence and third degree Cruelty to Children. Allegedly Mr. Hageman pinned the mother of his child in a corner while pulling on her hair and  then stealing her wallet and phone before pushing her down in a parking lot in front of their son. There was a custody dispute the day before. The Falcons did report the arrest to the NFL and Mr. Hageman was inactive for the week 1 game against the Buccaneers and the NFL is still investigating this arrest.  3 points for the assault, 2 for the obstructing a call, 2 for the cruelty to children. 1 bonus point for domestic abuse, which does have a 6 game suspension and for the fact that this arrest took 5 months to come out. 8 points total for the Atlanta Falcons.
Since the Bruce Miller arrest is still technically the last arrest- Niners keep the bonus.
Well the San Francisco 49ers get out to 1st place with 20 points, the Los Angeles Rams fall to 2nd with 11 points, the Atlanta Falcons go to 3rd place with 8 points. The Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints, and Buffalo Bills are in 11th place with 3 points. Carolina Panthers are in 12th place with 2 points and the Houston Texans are in 13th place with 1 point.
