After the one week run off, the 49ers have been crowned the Fantasy Crime League champions once again in 2016. San Francisco 49ers are in 1st place with 20 points, the Los Angeles Rams finish in 2nd with 11 points, the Atlanta Falcons are in 3rd place with 8 points. The Indianapolis Colts are in 4th place with 7 points. The Denver Broncos are in 5th place with 6 points. The Philadelphia Eagles are in 6th place with 5 points. The Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars are tied for 8th place with 4 points. The Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints, and Buffalo Bills finish tied for 11th place with 3 points. Only 1 division did not have any arrests and that is the  NFC North. The NFC West dominated with 1st/2nd place and 3/4 teams getting points. Well we hope you had fun tracking the crime activity with us this off-season.

Everybody can now enjoy the players on field achievements. We look forward to the next off-season, we will see you right back here- immediately following Super Bowl LI. Take care.

fcl-2016

Former SF TE Miller arrested for elder abuse, ATL DL Hageman arrested for domestic assault in March. 49ers & Falcons jump to 1st & 3rd.

Well the end of the FCL Season went off with a bang, with a last week arrest and a reported arrested during the 1 week run off. Hope you all enjoyed the week 1 NFL action.
Former San Francisco 49ers TE Bruce Miller

-Assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm (weapon alleged is a cane)  (Felony) section  245- 4- c

-2 counts of assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury – (Felony) section 245-a 4

-Inflicting injury on an elder or dependent adult likely to cause great bodily injury –( Felony)

-Battery with serious bodily injury – (felony) section 243 – d

-2 counts of criminal threats ( felony)

-Battery – (misdemeanor) section 243- a

Well folks, this is probably the arrest of the off-season and more details/charges have arisen since the initial story broke out on this one. Early Monday morning 9/5- Mr. Miller was trying to enter a hotel room that was not his, which was being stayed in by an elderly couple. After the couple’s son staying next door, told Mr. Miller he had the wrong room, Mr. Miller allegedly attacked the son and the father came to his aid. Reportedly a cane was used in the melee which sent both the father and son to the hospital. Mr. Miller was released by the 49ers after the arrest. Using an elderly man’s own cane against him as a weapon is pretty twisted.

Previous to this incident, Mr. Miller was seen at a sandwich shop getting into an altercation because he wanted their brisket sandwich. It must have been a good sandwich.
Now for the points breakdown. The capping rules are stated as follows.

Capping system-
Felonies: 1st felony gets full points. 2nd felony gets half of the points tier and each additional felony charge of a similar nature results in 1 point. (Note for heinous crimes like rape and murder, the capping system will be lifted)
Misdemeanor: 1st misdemeanor gets full points and each additional misdemeanor charge of a similar nature gets 1 point.

Criminal threats and assaults are going to be considered to be similar, all felonies too.

4 (full) points for assault with deadly weapon,  2 ( half ) for first criminal threats, 1 for the other criminal threat and 1 point each for assault with force likely to cause great injury. (9)

The Batteries are obviously similar, but I am keeping the son and old man charges separate, because he did beat up 2 people.

Elder abuse felony-  (full) 4 points, 1 felony count of battery with serious bodily injury (half) 2 points.  the son assault- 3 points for the misdemeanor.  1 bonus point for the send off and 1 additional bonus point for the last (presumed) arrest.

4+2+1+1+1 +4 +2+3 +1+1 = 20 points for the Santa Clara 49ers.

I did check and I gave the 49ers 2 bonus points at the end of the season last year for the final arrest with Ahmad Brooks.

Atlanta Falcons DL Ra’shede Hageman
Obstructing a person from making an emergency call (misdemeanor)
Assault on a family member (misdemeanor)
3rd degree Cruelty to Children (misdemeanor)
So earlier on March 24, Mr. Hageman-  was arrested and charged with 3 misdemeanors – Interference with a Call for Emergency Help, Battery Family Violence and third degree Cruelty to Children. Allegedly Mr. Hageman pinned the mother of his child in a corner while pulling on her hair and  then stealing her wallet and phone before pushing her down in a parking lot in front of their son. There was a custody dispute the day before. The Falcons did report the arrest to the NFL and Mr. Hageman was inactive for the week 1 game against the Buccaneers and the NFL is still investigating this arrest.  3 points for the assault, 2 for the obstructing a call, 2 for the cruelty to children. 1 bonus point for domestic abuse, which does have a 6 game suspension and for the fact that this arrest took 5 months to come out. 8 points total for the Atlanta Falcons.
Since the Bruce Miller arrest is still technically the last arrest- Niners keep the bonus.
Well the San Francisco 49ers get out to 1st place with 20 points, the Los Angeles Rams fall to 2nd with 11 points, the Atlanta Falcons go to 3rd place with 8 points. The Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints, and Buffalo Bills are in 11th place with 3 points. Carolina Panthers are in 12th place with 2 points and the Houston Texans are in 13th place with 1 point.

On Monday, July 25th, Mr. Bradham turned himself into authorities regarding an incident on Thursday 7/21 at a Miami Hotel where he and his group allegedly beat up a cabana boy due to the time it took to get an umbrella. Bradham supposedly struck the employee in the face and said employee also got many lacerations and cuts, possibly from a glass bottle being smashed on top of his head. Bradham and the group then fled the scene. The Eagles are aware of the incident and have no comment. Well folks, thats 4 points for the felony battery and 1 bonus point for the story, hope their NFC East rivals play Rihanna- Umbrella whenever they can.
5 points total for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The LA Rams hold on to the top spot with 11 points. The Indianapolis Colts move up to 2nd with 7 points. The reigning champions the Denver Broncos are in 3rd place with 6 points. The Philadelphia Eagles are a new addition to the board and fly to 4th place with 5 points. The Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars are tied for 6th place with 4 points each. The Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints, and Buffalo Bills are tied for 9th place with 3 points each. The Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans Saints are tied for 5th with 3 points each. Rounding out those on the board are the Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans at 6th and 7th place respectively.

The Broncos may be getting more points as CB Talib was shot in his leg early the morning on Sunday June 5th. Talib says he was at a park with friends but it is being investigated on whether he was at a Dallas  nightclub which had a shooting around the same time.  There are Texas laws regarding carrying weapons in places that serve alcohol or while intoxicated. Panthers RB Artis-Payne Arrested For Reckless Driving

Well NFL draft week is here, will your teams pick up a felon or two? or some other kind of bust in the first round? Rule clarification: all players drafted are on said team even though they are not signed, until the instance that they are cut by the team. There has been one arrest since the last update, the NFL went 36 days without an arrest! Guess they are all concentrating getting paid like Josh Norman. #KnowYourWorth

Carolina Panthers RB Artis-Payne
Reckless Driving (Misdemeanor)
Speeding (Misdemeanor)

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/15355329/carolina-panthers-rb-cameron-artis-payne-arrested-speeding

On 4/24 Sunday morning at 1:30 am, Mr. Artis-Payne was arrested for reckless driving after going 102 mph in a 65 mph zone.  Drugs or alcohol were not involved and Mr.  Artis- Payne was described as being cooperative and bonded out for $5,000. 2 points for the Reckless Driving, although speeding is a misdemeanor,  there was no additional information to warrant the reckless driving other than the high speed. Therefore only 2 points will be awarded to the Super Bowl runner up Carolina Panthers.

The Current Standings include the  Los Angeles Rams remaining in 1st with 8 points, Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts are tied for 3rd with 4 points, The New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens are tied for 5th with 3 points. The new addition to the board, Carolina Panthers are in 6th with 2 points. The Houston Texans round out the board in 7th with 1 point.

In other news that just won’t die, Tom Brady’s suspension for 4 games was reinstated by the courts. Everybody cheats in the NFL, not sure why the NFL and the Goodell bot have to try and  take it out on the Patriots, they never even proved they deflated the balls – “more probable than not” sounds inconclusive. The breaking the cell phone thing- it’s just how the rich and famous deal with their communication devices. The guy dubbed as the deflator was clearly referring to him trying to lose weight, its a pretty common saying right?
“It’s almost summer, I gotta get my PSI to under 30.”
Also Mr. Manziel has been indicted for a misdemeanor assault charge on his now ex-gf, he is not on a roster so no one gets points.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. A weekend of upsets- Diaz over McGregor, Tate over Holm, Lakers beating Warriors & confirmed yesterday, Lovie Smith is wearing orange and blue again- this time for the University of Illinois Fighting Illini. You know it’s March Baby. There has been 3 arrests since the last update, let’s get into them.

Houston Texans WR Jaelen Strong

-Arrested for Possession of Marijuana (Released pending charges by the County DA, felony?)

http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/nfl/2016/02/29/former-asu-wr-jaelen-strong-arrested-drug-charges/81125666/

On 2/28 Sunday night, Jaelen Strong was arrested for possession of marijuana. Mr. Strong was in a Maserati being driven by Green Bay Packers DB, Damarious Randall that was pulled over for missing a license plate. In the video, the officers ask the occupants about if they had a medical marijuana card, all reply no, so while being searched, Strong later gives the officers 3 marijuana cigarettes.
Mr Randall and another occupant were not charged. Mr Strong was booked and later released pending charges by the county DA. I have reached out to the Scottsdale PD and they have confirmed as such. The Houston Texans are aware of the incident and are disappointed with his actions. Since he was arrested, I am awarding a point, with possibly 6 points pending if he does indeed get charged with a felony. Looking at Arizona regulations, possession of marijuana under 2 pounds is a felony, who knew that marijuana laws were so tough in AZ?

Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs
-Leaving the Scene of an Accident (Misdemeanor)
-Driving with a suspended license (Misdemeanor)

http://6abc.com/sports/terrell-suggs-briefly-detained-after-one-car-accident/1230857/

Mr. Suggs was involved in a single car collision, and was arrested by the Scottsdale PD on 3/4 in the early morning for leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended license. His beemer was found in a parking lot with damage after responding to an accident call and following a trail of fluid. T Sizzle tweeted about the incident that day and the Baltimore Ravens were informed about it as well. 1 point for driving with suspended license and 2 points for leaving the scene of an accident. 3 points total. Memo to NFL Players, try to avoid driving around the Scottsdale, AZ area.

Los Angeles Rams RB Tre Mason
-Possession of marijuana, 20 grams or less (Misdemeanor)
-Reckless driving(Misdemeanor)
-Resisting an officer without violence (Misdemeanor)
-Failure to register motor vehicle (Misdemeanor, maybe)

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14915501/los-angeles-rams-rb-tre-mason-tasered-arrested-florida
http://www.clerk-17th-flcourts.org/Web2/CaseSearch/Details/?caseid=ODQ0NjYyNA%3d%3d-qebGNxuUdg8%3d&caseNum=16002165MM10A&category=CR

On Saturday afternoon, 3/5, in Florida, Tre Mason was stopped by police after driving 70 mph in a 35 mph zone. The police did smell marijuana in the vehicle as well. Mr. Mason was uncooperative and after several warnings was tazed twice before being arrested. He was also found to allegedly be in possession of 12 grams of marijuana. After being put in custody, he was taken to a hospital. The Rams released a statement that they are disappointed to hear about the incident and are gathering information about it. 3 points for the wacky tobacky, 2 points for reckless driving, 2 points for resisting arrest, and 1 bonus point for being tazed twice! We have reached out to the Hollywood, FL Police Department regarding the criminal status for failure to register a motor vehicle, so that is pending. According to the statutes it’s only a misdemeanor if the tags are > 6 months expired and it’s not the first instance, so since we can’t confirm it right now it does not score. 8 points total.

One month into the off-season, the Los Angeles Rams haven’t seen the field yet in LA this season, but they are in first place with 8 points, the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts are in a tie for 3rd, the Baltimore Ravens are in 4th place with 3 points and the Houston Texans are in 5th place with 1 point, but could easily jump in the standings if Mr. Strong were to indeed get charged.

The 2015 NFL league year ends at 4 pm EST on March 9, that means all 2015 player contracts have expired. After that, the 2016 league year is officially in full swing. It looks like time is a ticking for Johnny Football being charged for the Cleveland Browns.
Have a great rest of the week and be sure to get your latest fantasy crime league updates here!

Indianapolis Colts LB Newsome, arrested for having some loud after being too loud.

Indianapolis Colts LB Jonathan Newsome
– Possession of Marijuana (2 counts) (misdemeanor)

Jonathan Newsome’s arrest wasn’t first time cops found weed at his house

Early morning on Wednesday, 2/17, the police were called to Mr. Newsome’s apartment regarding a noise complaint. So the cops were there to inform him that it was too loud, but apparently they also found that he was in possession of some loud as well. He was arrested for 2 possession of marijuana charges. Looking at Indiana law, the reason why he got 2 charges is because there is a separate charge for those with a prior drug offense. According to the article, he was also just charged on Jan 31. The capping system is in play here. 3 points for the first misdemeanor drug charge and 1 point for the additional drug charge. 4 points total for the Indianapolis Colts.

Well folks as of now we have a virtual tie for 1st as both the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts have 4 points on 1 arrest and an equal highest arrest tier. Both the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns are awaiting to see if they make the board this week. I hope you all have a great week and be sure to get all the latest Fantasy Crime League information here!
