Colts add points for drug charge, but not enough to catch Jets.

Alright, NFL football was back last night and the fantasy crime league comes to a close. What a stunner in Foxboro, the Patriots are mortal after all. Per the usual, there was some last minute movement at the top of the board. 1 charge since the last update, lets get it into it.

Now Cleveland Browns DT T.Y. McGill (Former Indianpolis Colts DT)

-Possession of marijuana (Misdemeanor)

Via the transaction list: T.Y. McGill was listed as ‘Waived, no recall’ on 9/2 by the  Indianapolis Colts. On 9/3, he was listed as  ‘Assigned Via Waivers’ by the Cleveland Browns.

At the  4 pm deadline on Saturday 9/2 for teams to get to 53 man roster., Mr. McGill was on the chopping block.

So around 00:15 on Saturday 9/2, in Charlotte, Mr. McGill was seen in the valet area of the Westin in Charlotte, NC with a small amount of mairjuana, when approached by authorities about it, he denied it at first- but was later cooperative. Presumably he was in Charlotte to see his alma mater, NC State Wolfpack play at Bank of America Stadium vs the USC Gamecocks. The Browns are aware of the charge and it will be dealt with internally. 3 points for the drug charge will be awarded to the Colts, since I believe he was on their roster at the time of the charge, unless he was waived between 00:00 and 00:30 hours on Saturday-(dont think NFL is operating at that time). Also at this time, it is assumed to be the final arrest/charge. 4 points total for Colts.

So pending the 1 week runoff:

The Jets are in 1st with 24 points.  The Colts are in 2nd with 20 points. The Ravens round out the top 3 with 14 points. The Cowboys remain in 4th place with 14 points due to tiebreaker. The Giants are in 5th place with 11 points. The 49ers are in 6th with 8 points. The Jacksonville Jaguars are in 7th with 8 points. The Oakland Raiders are in 8th place with 7 points, holding tiebreaker over the Houston Texans who are in 9th place with 7 points, and they hold tiebreaker over the Packers who are in 10th with also 7 points. The broncos are in 11th place with 7 points. Th Seahawks are in 12th with 6 points. The Bears are in 13th place with 5 points. The Bills are in 14th with 4 points. The Panthers are in 15th with 3 points and hold tiebreaker over Redskins in 16th with 3 also. In 17th place is the Chargers with 2 points, who hold tiebreaker over Cardinals in 18th place. In 19th place is the Chiefs with also 2 points. Rounding out those on the board in 22nd place are the Rams, Steelers, and Vikings, with 1 point apiece.

Take care have a great weekend. Prayers up for those in the path of Hurricane Irma, get out if you can and stay safe. We will check back in after the run off.

Indianapolis Colts drive their way to the top of the leaderboard.

Indianapolis Colts DL David Parry

Robbery (Felony)
Auto theft (Felony)
Criminal damage(Misdemeanor)
DUI (Misdemeanor)
Resisting Arrest w/Physical Force (Felony)

Looking at the arrest sheet- there’s two nearly identical charges for DUI bac .08 or more/ DUI impaired to slightest and criminal damage/ criminal damage vehicle so counting those as only one.

On 2/25 Saturday early morning, Mr. Parry was arrested by Scottsdale Police after an incident in which he allegedly stole a golf cart being used a taxi, after he hit the driver while trying to collect fares from other riders. The police were contacted for a hit and run call where a golf cart hit a gate. Police encountered Mr. Parry in a drunken state on a nearby sidewalk and tried to arrest him, but he laughed at them and called them gay slurs while physically resisting. It took two pairs of handcuffs to restrain him. He was charged with robbery, auto theft, resisting arrest with physical force, DUI, and criminal damage. He denied any altercation with the taxi driver and was released from custody later on his own recognizance. The Indianapolis Colts have not had any comment yet, but I’d imagine Jim Irsay would say “A golf cart DUI? I could do better.” So the point breakdown is as follows. Fore! points for the Auto Theft, 2 points capped for robbery, 4 points for the felonious resisting arrest, 3 points for the DUI, 2 points for criminal damage and 1 bonus point for the hilarity/ first ever FCL golf cart DUI. 16 points for the Indianapolis Colts.

One month into the off-season, the Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets are tied for 1st with 16 points each on 1 arrest, the Baltimore Ravens are not far behind with 14 points in 3rd place, rounding out the board is the Los Angeles Chargers are in 4th place with 2 points. The rest of the NFL is yet to score. Hope you all have a great week and be sure to get all the latest fantasy crime league updates right here!

3 arrests, Eagles, Bills are on the Board and Colts move up to 2nd.

Well howdy folks, there’s been 3 arrests since the last Fantasy Crime League update. Let’s get into them.

Indianapolis Colts RB Robert Turbin
-Suspicion of possession of marijuana(misdemeanor)

Mr. Turbin was arrested for possession of marijuana on July 8 at 11:30 pm after being pulled over for a stop sign violation in Logan City, UT. Police smelled burnt marijuana in the car and found a marijuana cigarette inside the vehicle. Marijuana like many things in Utah, yes is a crime, so that is 3 points total for the Indianapolis Colts.

Buffalo Bills RB Jonathan Williams
-DWI (misdemeanor)

Mr. Williams was arrested in Arkansas early morning on July 14 for DWI. He failed the field sobriety test, but did not agree to complete the breathalyzer test on advice from his agent. He bonded out later and faces a future court date. 3 points total for the Buffalo Bills.

Philadelphia Eagles LB Nigel Bradham
-Aggratved Battery (Felony)

On Monday, July 25th, Mr. Bradham turned himself into authorities regarding an incident on Thursday 7/21 at a Miami Hotel where he and his group allegedly beat up a cabana boy due to the time it took to get an umbrella. Bradham supposedly struck the employee in the face and said employee also got many lacerations and cuts, possibly from a glass bottle being smashed on top of his head. Bradham and the group then fled the scene. The Eagles are aware of the incident and have no comment. Well folks, thats 4 points for the felony battery and 1 bonus point for the story, hope their NFC East rivals play Rihanna- Umbrella whenever they can.
5 points total for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The LA Rams hold on to the top spot with 11 points. The Indianapolis Colts move up to 2nd with 7 points. The reigning champions the Denver Broncos are in 3rd place with 6 points. The Philadelphia Eagles are a new addition to the board and fly to 4th place with 5 points. The Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars are tied for 6th place with 4 points each. The Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints, and Buffalo Bills are tied for 9th place with 3 points each. Rounding out 10th and 11th place are the Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans with 2 and 1 points respectively. Well looks like NFL Training Camps are in session or will soon be. The NFL season is nearly upon us. There will be a Pokemon GO Bonus Point should anyone charged in the FCL whilst playing said game.
Hope you have a great rest of the week and please be sure to get all your latest Fantasy Crime League news right here!

Indianapolis Colts LB Newsome, arrested for having some loud after being too loud.

Indianapolis Colts LB Jonathan Newsome
– Possession of Marijuana (2 counts) (misdemeanor)

Jonathan Newsome’s arrest wasn’t first time cops found weed at his house

Early morning on Wednesday, 2/17, the police were called to Mr. Newsome’s apartment regarding a noise complaint. So the cops were there to inform him that it was too loud, but apparently they also found that he was in possession of some loud as well. He was arrested for 2 possession of marijuana charges. Looking at Indiana law, the reason why he got 2 charges is because there is a separate charge for those with a prior drug offense. According to the article, he was also just charged on Jan 31. The capping system is in play here. 3 points for the first misdemeanor drug charge and 1 point for the additional drug charge. 4 points total for the Indianapolis Colts.

Well folks as of now we have a virtual tie for 1st as both the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts have 4 points on 1 arrest and an equal highest arrest tier. Both the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns are awaiting to see if they make the board this week. I hope you all have a great week and be sure to get all the latest Fantasy Crime League information here!

Presidents’ Day Weekend Update!

Well folks, the fantasy crime league usually experiences some activity over long weekends, but Presidents’ Day weekend is definitely not anywhere near the top. Memorial Day weekend and 4th of July weekend are the big ones to watch out for. As the weather heats up, so does the crime league. There was 1 citation from earlier in the month, and 1 detainment yesterday.

1 Citation

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw
-Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor)

Mr. Bradshaw was pulled over and cited for possession of marijuana on Feb 5. He has pleaded not guilty. He probably has enough green to fight this charge over a small amount of green. The Colts are hot out of the gate with a drug charge and assault charge. Not to mention another player who has got charged with rape, battery, and criminal confinement during the week of the AFC Championship. Last off-season the Colts owner, Jim Irsay had a league-high tying arrest with 23 points (4 felony drug charges, 1 DUI, 1 owner bonus point) and his team is surely trying to step up to his level this off-season. 3 points total for the misdemeanor drug charge.
1 Detainment- (was previously stated as arrested on some news outlets)

Philadelphia Eagles S Nate Allen
-Accusation of Indecent Exposure (still under investigation, has not been charged)

Well folks, this is a fantasy crime league first, Mr. Allen was detained, but was reported as arrested. He was taken into custody.  He spent 4+ hours in custody after he was pulled over from a report that he was performing a lewd act in front of 2 teenage girls at an intersection on 2/16. He has not been charged but the investigation is ongoing. The sincerely hopes that this incident, if found to be a false accusation, doesn’t tarnish this man’s reputation in any way. Are there any criminal lawyers out there? Is there a time limit on detainment vs arrests? The twitter account for Fort Myers PD says he was only detained so that is what we are going with, 0 points.
Barely into the 3rd week, the Packers lead the fantasy crime league with 10 points, the Colts are  in 2nd with 6 points and the Cowboys are on the board with a field goal at 3 points.

Only halfweek through the 1st week & there’s been plenty of action!

Well folks, it sure looks like the NFL’s VP of public relations is going to have another busy off-season.

There have been 4 NFL player arrests this week, 5 if you count alumni.

Let’s start out with the near miss:

Former Baltimore Raven DT Terrance Cody has been indicted for:

  • Two counts of aggravated animal cruelty. (Felony)
  • Five counts of animal abuse or neglect involving a dog. (Misdemeanor)
  • One count of illegal possession of an alligator. (Misdemeanor)
  • Five counts of animal abuse or neglect involving an alligator. (Misdemeanor)
  • One count of possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia. (Misdemeanor)
  • One count of possession of marijuana. (Misdemeanor)

Earlier last month, it was reported that Mr. Cody would be released by the Ravens, it should be noted that he was set to become a free agent. The reason for the otherwise unusual release announcement would be that he was under investigation for animal cruelty. The Ravens probably needed to do this ahead of time after last year’s league leading 5 offseason arrests, including the Ray Rice fiasco.  What could be greater than golf with a gator? Apparently it sounds like Mr. Cody was trying to find out.  He was indicted on February 2, 2015, which also was the same day he was released.  Due to the fact that Mr. Cody was released before he was indicted, none of these alleged crimes will count towards the Fantasy Crime League.

These 3 arrests do count for inclusion in the Fantasy Crime League.

Green Bay Packers DT Leroy Guion

  • Possession of Marijuana (Felony)
  • Possession of a firearm (Felony)

Mr. Guion was arrested in Florida, Tuesday night, 2/3, after being pulled over. He was found to have 190 grand in cash, 357 grams of marijuana and a handgun. The Green Bay Packers typically do not make a splash in free agency as they also do in the fantasy crime league, but it looks like Mr. Guion should have (discount) double checked his stash and cash, because in Florida- felony possession is 20 grams and up, according to The felony drug charge and felony gun charge are 5 points a piece, 10 points total for the Green Bay Packers.

Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle

  • Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor)

Well it seems that Mr. Randle has found himself within the long arm of the law again. Last time, he was arrested for shoplifting underwear and cologne. Early Tuesday morning, 2/3, Mr. Randle was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana in Kansas after police responded to a domestic disturbance with a weapon call which led them to his hotel room.  There’s has been no confirmation on where the alleged marijuana was found, but we could imagine the police checked the underwear drawer first. 3 points for the misdemeanor drug charge.

Indianapolis Colts LB D’Qwell Jackson

  • Assault (Misdemeanor)

Mr. Jackson is the player who assisted in setting off  the #Deflategate / #Ballghazi story by intercepting Tom Brady in that AFC championship beatdown. He was arrested Tuesday night 2/3, for allegedly punching a pizza delivery driver after disputing a parking spot. “It’s not assault, it’s your face meeting an NFL player’s fist” 3 points for the misdemeanor assault charge.

Well folks, all this happened through Tuesday, let’s see if we can get through 24 hours without an NFL arrest. Either way, surely we will keep you all updated here at the Fantasy Crime League.
