Jets in holding pattern at 1st place, Vikings on the board, 49ers & Packers jump in standings.

Well folks, there have been 2 arrests, 1 formally charged, and 1 violating house arrest since the last update. We are getting into the home stretch of Fantasy Crime, weather is nice, training camps are a couple of weeks out, etc. Let’s get into them.

Green Bay Packers DL Letroy Guion

Early morning June 21, Mr. Guion was arrested in Hawaii for DUI after failing a breathalyzer. He has had previous run ins with the law and is currently suspended for 1st 4 games due to violating the NFL PED policy. Now he can say aloha to the personal conduct policy as well. 3 points for the DUI, 1 bonus point for it being his 30th birthday. I did hear from a Packer fan that he was snappin and having all these social media posts about partying haha. Do they not have taxi’s or ubers in Hawaii? Remember when the actors of ABC’s hit television show LOST got the axe after their DUI’s? Wonder if that will hold true here as well. 4 points for the Green Bay Packers.

New York Jets LB Lorenzo Mauldin
Assault (Misdmeanor)
Stemming from an incident at a nightclub on April 2, Mr. Mauldin was arrested after turning himself in on June 21 for misdemeanor assault. He allegedly punched another man after he accidentally spilled champagne on him. The victim had several facial injuries. Mr. Mauldin maintains his innocence and says it was someone else who attacked that man. 3 points for the Jets. J-E-T-S.

Former San Francisco 49ers CB Tramaine Brock **Arrested as 49er, charged as FA. still counts**
-Child Endangerment (Misdemeanor)
-Domestic Violence (Felony)
So from his April arrest that led to his release from the niners, earlier this month- Mr. Brock was formally charged with domestic violence and child endangerment. Allegedly there were multiple incidents where he punched/ attempted to strangle his girlfriend over disputes such as what to watch on television. One of these incidents involves the child, where she was holding their own kid in her arms. So the total points are 4 for felony domestic violence, 3 for child endangerment (counting it as putting someone directly in danger) +1 bonus point for domestic violence. 8 points total. I had awarded 2 points previously for this so it is 6 net points for the 49ers.

Minnesota Vikings WR Michael Floyd
-Violated house arrest terms
On 6/26, Mr. Floyd went to court as a result of failed breathalyzer tests while under house arrest. He maintained that it was because of kombucha tea, which was also encouraged by his employer- the Minnesota Vikings, who stood by their reciever. He was sentenced to 1 day in jail and had to serve the remaining 5 house arrest days in Arizona. 1 point for the Vikings.

Well the Jets remain in 1st place with 24 points. The Colts are 2nd place with 16 points. The Ravens are in 3rd place with 14 points. The 49ers jump to 4th place with 8 points. The Packers are right behind in 5th place with 7 points.  The Seahawks are 6th place with 6 points. Da Bears are tied in 8th place with the Denver Broncos, both with 5 points each. The Cowboys are in 9th place with 4 points. The Panthers and Giants are tied in 11th place with 3 points, as both have the arrest tier tiebreaker over the Redskins who are in 12th place. In 13th place are the Chargers with 2 points, holding the tiebreaker over the Cardinals  who are in 14th place. The Chiefs are in 15th place with also 2 points, as they are behind on the other tiebreaker ( less # of arrests). Lastly, rounding out the board tied for 17th place are the  Rams and Vikings both with 1 point. Summer is officially here and  a holiday weekend is upon us- the 4th of July. Please celebrate our country’s star spangled awesomeness safely.  Have a great rest of the week and be sure to get all the latest fantasy crime news right here. Take care.

https://www.dallasnews.com/news/crime/2017/05/29/cowboys-cornerback-nolan-carroll-arrested-dwi-charge

On May 29 at 2:15 am, Mr. Carroll was arrested in Dallas following a traffic stop for DWI. Earlier that night, there was a welcome to Dallas party for Carroll at a nearby Dallas Nightclub- Sidebar, but police would not confirm if he was there prior to getting arrested. Mr. Carroll signed a 3 year deal earlier this year in March. The Cowboys do offer their players free uber rides, if they believe they are unable to drive safely. 3 points for the DUI, 1 bonus point for having it on the night of his “Welcome to Dallas” party. (The club’s IG post has been taken down haha) 4 points total for dem boys.

Jets remain in 1st place with 21 points. The Colts are 2nd place with 16 points. The Ravens are in 3rd place with 12 points. The Seahawks are 4th place with 6 points. Da Bears are in 5th place with 5 points. The Cowboys are in 6th place with 4 points. Indianapolis Colts drive their way to the top of the leaderboard.

Indianapolis Colts DL David Parry

Auto theft (Felony)
Criminal damage(Misdemeanor)

Resisting Arrest w/Physical Force (Felony)

http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/scottsdale/2017/02/28/records-indianapolis-colts-player-david-parry-cursed-resisted-scottsdale-police-during-dui-arrest/98538876/

Looking at the arrest sheet- there’s two nearly identical charges for DUI bac .08 or more/ DUI impaired to slightest and criminal damage/ criminal damage vehicle so counting those as only one.

parry

On 2/25 Saturday early morning, Mr. Parry was arrested by Scottsdale Police after an incident in which he allegedly stole a golf cart being used a taxi, after he hit the driver while trying to collect fares from other riders. The police were contacted for a hit and run call where a golf cart hit a gate. Police encountered Mr. Parry in a drunken state on a nearby sidewalk and tried to arrest him, but he laughed at them and called them gay slurs while physically resisting. It took two pairs of handcuffs to restrain him. He was charged with robbery, auto theft, resisting arrest with physical force, DUI, and criminal damage. He denied any altercation with the taxi driver and was released from custody later on his own recognizance. The Indianapolis Colts have not had any comment yet, but I’d imagine Jim Irsay would say “A golf cart DUI? I could do better.” So the point breakdown is as follows. Fore! points for the Auto Theft, 2 points capped for robbery, 4 points for the felonious resisting arrest, 3 points for the DUI, 2 points for criminal damage and 1 bonus point for the hilarity/ first ever FCL golf cart DUI. 16 points for the Indianapolis Colts.

One month into the off-season, the Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets are tied for 1st with 16 points each on 1 arrest, the Baltimore Ravens are not far behind with 14 points in 3rd place, rounding out the board is the Los Angeles Chargers are in 4th place with 2 points. Mr. Turbin was arrested for possession of marijuana on July 8 at 11:30 pm after being pulled over for a stop sign violation in Logan City, UT. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/eagles-nigel-bradham-charged-beating-miami-hotel-worker-article-1.2727175

On Monday, July 25th, Mr. Bradham turned himself into authorities regarding an incident on Thursday 7/21 at a Miami Hotel where he and his group allegedly beat up a cabana boy due to the time it took to get an umbrella. Bradham supposedly struck the employee in the face and said employee also got many lacerations and cuts, possibly from a glass bottle being smashed on top of his head. Bradham and the group then fled the scene. The Eagles are aware of the incident and have no comment. Well folks, thats 4 points for the felony battery and 1 bonus point for the story, hope their NFC East rivals play Rihanna- Umbrella whenever they can.

LA Rams S T.J. McDonald Arrested for DUI-other

There has been 1 arrest since the last update, as we approach Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial kick-off of summer, look for the fantasy crime league to  heat up as the weather does.

Los Angeles Rams S TJ McDonald
-DUI-other (misdemeanor)
On 5/10 Tuesday morning at 8:30 am Mr. McDonald was arrested for suspicion of dui-other after hitting a parked car in California. The other- indicates that he allegedly was driving under the influence of something other than alcohol. He made bail and faces a June 3 court date. 3 points total for the Rams with their weekday morning DUI, wasn’t late enough  to warrant the bonus point.
Well the LA Rams are thriving in the City of Angels so far, they lead the FCL crime league with 11 points, the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts are tied for 2nd with 4 points.  The New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens are tied for 4th with 3 points. The  Carolina Panthers are in 6th with 2 points. The Houston Texans round out the board in 7th with 1 point. Be sure to get all your latest Fantasy Crime League updates here. Have a safe Memorial Day weekend.

Denver Broncos FS Keo gets the off-season party started

We hope everyone had a great Valentine’s /Presidents Day (or Family Day for our neighbors up North)  weekend. For many long weekends, arrests are more likely of occurring. However, instead of  barbecues, pool parties, cookouts, blowing off part of your hand, etc, Presidents Day weekend tends to be associated with furniture/appliance sales. Any way, there was the first arrest of the off-season this past weekend and it belongs to  the defending Super Bowl Champion- Denver Broncos.

Denver Broncos FS Shiloh Keo

Well the team that kicked off the off-season with the W, also gets the first arrest. Mr. Keo was arrested for a driving under the influence charge on Saturday 2/13. He has bonded out. He mainly played in a reserve role, including special teams. The Broncos are aware of the arrest. Mr. Keo is set to become a free agent on  March 9, looks like he may have made Denver’s decision regarding his future a little bit easier. If he doesn’t get signed by the Broncos, he may have to start tweeting other defensive coordinators.
3 points for the DUI and 1 bonus point for the party starter.  4 points total.

The Denver Broncos get out to the early lead with 4 points on 1 arrest. The Bills are in the red zone, are they going to score or walk away with no points? Is Manziel going to come out of hiding and if so will it be in handcuffs? Can the Broncos achieve supreme dominance in the NFL, both on and off the field? Only time will tell. Hope you all have a good rest of the week. Remember to get your latest Fantasy Crime updates right here!

Former Ravens RB Pierce Arrested for DUI, now is on the roster nevermore..

There has been 1 confirmed arrest since the last update. Looks like there was some luck and there was an arrest post-St. Paddy’s Day. The arrest belongs to no other than the Fantasy Crime League juggernaut, the Baltimore Ravens. Their roster now has 1 RB more spot to fill. Glad to know that this team is taking a stand against crime. Those accused of committing crimes, quoth the Ravens GM, will be on the team “nevermore”.

Former Baltimore Ravens RB Bernard Pierce
-Driving Under the Influence (Misdemeanor)

http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2015/03/18/ravens-rb-bernard-pierce-arrested-for-dui/

“Once upon a midnight dreary, Mr. Pierce operated a vehicle, allegedly drunk and weary,
After many a quaint and curious volume of alcohol poured,
While he drove, maybe napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As an officer was forcibly rapping, rapping at his car door.”

Mr. Pierce was arrested in Towson, MD around 2 am. on Wednesday, March 18 after he was stopped for going 20 mph over the limit. He failed all three field sobriety tests. Upon getting arrested, Pierce told the officer, “Do you know what happened the last time a Ravens player got a DUI? I’m getting cut tomorrow. Not like you care.” Although the officer may not care, we here at the Fantasy Crime League do. If football doesn’t work out, Mr. Pierce may have a career in being a psychic. He was correct about being cut from the Ravens, but incorrect about the date as he got the boot the very same day. 3 points total for the DUI.

The Green Bay Packers with 10 points remain in first place in the Fantasy Crime League, but by the slimmest of margins. The Baltimore Ravens have sole possession of second place with 9 points. The Indianapolis Colts remain in third at 6 points. The San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, and Pittsburgh Steelers round out 4th, 6th, and 7th places respectively. The rest of the NFL teams, are yet to get on the board.
